SAIA Eastern Cape is a voluntary association of professional registered architects. Formerly known as the Port Elizabeth Society of Architects, SAIA-EC was founded in 1900 and is a region of the South African Institute of Architects.
Members of the SAIA-EC subscribe to a strict code of conduct to ensure the public of the highest standards in professional practice. The association is also committed to educating the public on the properties of meritorious architecture.
In addition to providing institutional support to its members, SAIA-EC hosts informative industry presentations, networking events and an annual awards function to recognise buildings of distinction completed by local architects and architectural firms.
